Discover the breathtaking beauty of Pallas–Yllästunturi National Park on a guided hike to Taivaskero, one of Lapland’s most iconic fell summits. This unforgettable day trip combines wide-open landscapes, pure Arctic nature, and authentic outdoor experiences.

The adventure begins in Levi, from where we travel by minibus to Pallas (approx. 45 minutes). From the Pallas Visitor Centre area, we set off on the scenic Taivaskero loop trail, gradually ascending through open fell landscapes shaped by wind, time, and ancient geology.

As we climb higher, the forest gives way to treeless tundra, revealing sweeping views across the famous Pallas fells. From the summit of Taivaskero, you’ll experience one of the most spectacular panoramas in Finland — rolling fell chains stretching to the horizon, especially stunning during autumn when the landscape glows in vibrant ruska colors.

The trail combines well-marked paths, rocky sections, and gentle ascents, offering a rewarding yet accessible hiking experience. Along the way, we pause to take in the silence, breathe some of the cleanest air in the world, and enjoy the unique sense of space that defines Lapland’s fell region.

After the hike, we gather at a traditional wilderness hut for a well-earned break. Around the open fire, we grill sausages, brew coffee, and relax while your guide shares stories about the area’s nature, history, and life in the North.

This hike is a perfect blend of spectacular scenery, fresh air, and authentic Lapland atmosphere — an experience that stays with you long after the day ends.

What do I need to bring?

Outdoor clothing according to the weather, hiking boots, water to drink and mosquito repellent, sun glasses and sun lotion, if needed.

• We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 14 days or less before the event
• We will charge a cancellation fee of 30% if booking is cancelled 30 days or less before the event
