With snowshoes on, we’ll then begin a slow descent, walking through different vegetation zones and learning how the Arctic environment changes with elevation. Your local guide shares fascinating insights into Lappish nature, wildlife, and culture, bringing the snowy surroundings to life.

On the way down, we pause in a peaceful pine forest to enjoy hot drinks and a snack by a campfire – a cozy break in the middle of nature’s silence.

What do I need to bring?

• Warm winter clothing (insulated jacket and pants or a snowsuit), warm mittens, and sturdy winter shoes.
• Bring a scarf or balaclava to protect your face, and hand/toe warmers if needed.
• Wear enough layers underneath and add more if needed.
• Sunglasses and sunscreen for sunny spring days.
• Warm socks recommended, no cotton, wool is the best.
